Great job team so far will all the practices and scrimmages. We look impressive so far with most of our positions. Everyone be at practices on time ready to go. You guys look ready to start the season. Take the next two weeks and improve on what you already accomplished so far. |

Thanks to the MidWest Mustangs for coming out and putting on a good show. Good luck to you guys on your game. Yeah we had a scat back the QB was trying to get it to. I was really more concerned that you guys blitz two players when you know as well as we do you can't blitz more than one. All in all it was a good game glad you guys came out. Hope you enjoyed our homefield we will be out here all year for those of you who want to watch us take a run for the championship in 2010. Thanks to the Grozingers and the Lightning for hosting the Springfield Mustangs for a scrimmage last Sat. Good luck to you guys in 2010! Bring home the cpfl gold to Springfield this year. By the way Kyle, it was intentional grounding cause the ball didn't go past the line of scrimmage. :) lol Don't be hatin, jus playin! See ya'll next week for 11 man scrimmage. Thanks again. |

Hey guys I just wanted to sincerely appoligize for leaving the team last year it was a big mistake I ended up doing absolutely nothing with my time. Anyways I just wanted say that I really miss football and I'm willing to put in the extra hours of practice running routes or whatever it takes to play again I will be at tryouts in October to hopefully make the team.

Previous statements have been deleted and once again guests are ask to not to post negative banter about this or other teams. The Springfield Lightning supports area football and wishes all local teams the best of luck. We wish to make football a positive family environment that gives athletes a stage to spotlight their talent. As well the Lightning organization is involved with the community and is always striving to make Springfield a better place to live. The Springfield Lightning want to wish the Midwest Mustangs, Venom, and the Wolfpack good luck on the on going season. Hopefully all of these teams can get together sometime and show everyone how Springfield plays football. |

We want to invite everyone out to the Springfield Lightning's 1st home playoff game this weekend. The game is at Summers At The River in Nixa of AA at 7:00 PM. The gate fee is $5 and there will be a full restaurant and bar for those interested. Come out and suppourt your local team as they enter the 1st round of the playoffs and work their way towards a championship. Once again this Saturday May 9th at 7:00 PM at Summers At The River the Mustangs vs. Springfield Lightning. GO LIGHTNING!!!! |

To all Lightning fans we are traveling to Sedalia this weekend for a rematch against the Outlaws. We are a different team than we were in the begining of the season. However the Outlaws have the best record in the league. They are 7-0 and have a great defense. We would love for our fans to make the trip. Look under our location tab and find where the Outlaws home field is located. The game is at 3pm. Thanks for all of your support! |

I want to thank all the fans who came out and supported us at our scrimmage. I also want to thank all the fans that showed up to the BBQ after the scrimmage. We appreciate all the support this season. If it wasn't for all of the community support the Lightning wouldn't be where we are today. We want to encourage everyone out there to keep supporting us in our especially in our upcoming game against the Outlaws and all through the playoffs. |

To all of our dedicated fans, I would like to invite you out to our practice this weekend. It will be at Summers at the River at 330pm with a cookout to follow at 530pm. Come out to meet your Springfield Lightning football team. This is a family event please bring your kids if you want. We want to thank each and every one of you for the support you have shown over the past two years. Without our fans there is no reason to play. We have already topped our last season and we are not done yet! We are in the playoffs and will have a home playoff game on May 9th. We will have details when they become available from the league headquarters. We would love for our fans to travel to Sedalia next week as we take on the defending two time champion Outlaws. We did not do to well in the first meeting this year, but we have improved. Fan support goes a long way, especially on the road! THANKS FOR ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT! |
